Isn’t the following saying so familiar that some of us are so tired of hearing it and others with ardent desires wait for so long for this fairy tale moment of "Love At First Sight" to happen in their life? But what exactly is happening at First Sight? Is that sense of chill that runs through our spine are truly Love? Do we actually encounter butterflies in our stomach? But wait, what is love? How does it happen so quickly between two individuals; just by looking at each other? If you ask me love is something that should arise by knowing a person inside out; and not just by having a glance at them. What else is visible to us when we look at a person? Can we measure their personalities; can we magically come to know what they want from us etc...? So the obvious answer is no right? Then how come people say that they have fallen in love with one another just at First Sight? One more question! For this magical moment to happen both of them should have eye contact isn't it? Do you think that we dare to even look at something or someone which our mind has presumed to be ugly? For e.g. will anyone fall in love at first sight with a person who had an acid attack on their face? No, but we might feel sympathy for them. Again, in case if we come across people who are fat or too thin or too short or tall or maybe not even having a robust physique may not be fit for us to fall in love with right? Because the perception of beauty and the way we have pictured the person of our dreams varies from one another. So, what's that feeling that arouse us so badly and makes us curious to know more about that person whom we just saw a second ago? What makes us so excited about them? This beautiful moment according to many of us will only happen if two things are satisfied. One, that person should be beautiful as per our own beauty perceptions. Two, no other feeling should overtake us; such as the above mentioned sympathy or disguise or any such. Hence, we "Fall in Love" at our first sight mostly because our little "LUSTY MINDS" are satisfied and not because we really fall in love with one another at that very moment. It might be true that you may fall in love after this Lusty Incident which am I'm not objecting in any way. But don't you agree that in reality it is not exactly Love that is being aroused in us but it's just pure Lust! So technically it's Lust at First Sight and not Love at First Sight! P.S. It isn’t applicable for those who believe love and lust are one at the same.
